Goran Sabah Ghafour is a novelist from Iraq. His debut novel Deer Girls is under literary agents' consideration. He's published three novels by small publishers. The Statues in 2014; Iraqi Fulbrighter (Fear & Hatred) in 2011; President Artery (in his native language Kurdish) in 2005. Goran is the recipient of Aynda Org.'s best writer award, Calder Pickett for Writing award (twice), and Bob Sigman award for journalism (twice).
